I think the picture of the moon stands out the most because that was Hugo's dad's first movie. Also, Hugo's dad died and Hugo was sad about it. So when the Automaton wrote the picture of the moon, Hugo was surprised about it. He remembered his dads story about his first movie and his favorite part of the movie. Hugo didn't know that papa Georges was a film maker. Papa Georges wanted to move on and not making movies anymore but Hugo and Isabelle worked really hard to try to help Papa Georges remember the past ( only the good parts! ). This drawing really stands out to me because it makes you think how exciting the 1930s were.It made me think how much we need more movies like this exciting film.When i saw this 10 or 11 minute video i thought about how exciting it would of been to be an actor in this short movie.
I think the picture is really cool because of all the details that the author made .and without all of the detail the people who saw it would not understand the meaning of the picture and what the author was saying.
This picture is different. Brian Selznick really expressed his feelings into this picture. If this drawing has no text around it it is very confusing. Why is there a rocket in the moons eye? This picture from someones point of view is a masterpiece but from another persons point of view it is just lines and scratches.
I liked the picture of the moon because it really stands out to me and very sad because the rocket going into the moons eye would you like to get hit with a rocket.
